Watch our 30-second Media Smart video, and discuss the issues of sharing personal information on social networking sites. Take the survey and talk with your teens about your answers. Make sure their time on line is done safely by learning more about what they do on the Internet, the sites they visit, and the information they share.

If you have not set up guidelines for Internet use, now is a good time to establish clear rules and expectations. Involve your children in the process and help them understand the reasons behind your rules.
